A Music Plus got its start in 1985 when professional musician Pat Bruno was asked to fill in as a DJ at a friend's private party. The party and music were such a huge hit that the idea of parlaying professional music knowledge into a part time DJ career was born.
history
Pat finished college in 1987 and became a math teacher at Pecos Junior High School in Thornton, while working as a part time DJ on the side. Two years later, Pat moved to Northglenn High School where he taught his final year of math.
By 1990 A Music Plus had grown so successfully
that it was time to make a career decision, and Pat
chose to put all of his energy into making A Music
Plus the best DJ service in the Rocky Mountain Region.
A Music Plus went full time and opened an office in
the former Bridal Plaza at Yale, at I-25 and Yale.
By adding five sound systems and several new DJs,
A Music Plus was growing rapidly in local popularity.

growth
Throughout the 1990's, A Music Plus added sound systems, DJs and full time staff members until it had outgrown their small office in Bridal Plaza at Yale. In 1999 A Music Plus moved north and in 2008 to its current location at 54th and Washington. The north location in 1999 provided A Music Plus with more office space, a huge warehouse and room to grow, while the new location in 2008 more than doubled that office space and provides A Music Plus the ability to better serve their growing clientele.
Through 1999 and right up to 9-11, growth
was tremendous, with A Music Plus incorporating twenty
sound systems, forty DJs and five full-time office
staff members. In 2006, A Music Plus expanded to provide
all forms of live music as well as continuing to be
recognized for offering Colorado's finest DJs. A Music
Plus currently performs at nearly 2000 events each
year..
Though many companies exhibiting this
kind of growth would get overwhelmed, A Music Plus
has never suffered this problem. Highly organized
and efficient, with numerous checks and balances in
place, A Music Plus is able to give each client personalized
service, while servicing a large and diverse clientele.

the team that makes it happen
A Music Plus has also been blessed with the addition of some talented full time staff members.
NATE JORGENSEN joined the
A Music Plus team in 1998. Nate spent six years as
the company equipment tech before moving to his current
entertainment consultant position in January 2004.
He also helps to hire, train and manage the diverse
roster of A Music Plus DJs and helps to manage live
talent. Nate is also one of the top DJs in the company
and is one of the region's most requested Bar/Bat
Mitzvah emcees.
Kyle Chernoff,
who was added in early 2001 as a DJ, also quickly
worked his way into a full time position. Kyle served
as event coordinator for two years and is now the
A Music Plus production manager, overseeing every
aspect of event production. Kyle is passionate about
music and it is unlikely that there is a human alive
who can out-trivia Kyle when it comes to music knowledge!
Phil DeBernardi
joined the team as a DJ in 2003 as a DJ. Phil
came to A Music Plus with twenty years of mobile and
club experience and is one of the top DJs in the company.
Phil is now the A Music Plus DJ equipment tech, testing
and cleaning each piece of equipment every week so
that every system is fully ready to go before every
event.
Holly Sienty
is a singer, songwriter and pianist who uses
her passion for music and attention to detail as the
A Music Plus DJ Event Coordinator. She started with
A Music Plus in 2008 and makes sure that every event
is perfectly planned.
KEVIN KOWALCZYK is the newest addition to the A Music Plus team. Kevin brings years of experience in the special events industry. Focused on business development and social media, Kevin is a valuable addition to the A Music Plus team!
Finally, owner
Pat Bruno keeps the company alive and improving
by constantly challenging his employees to find new
and better ways of providing service to A Music Plus
clients. No part or process of A Music Plus is sacred
as Pat and the staff are constantly examining the
company from top to bottom in an effort to find ways
to better their service.

The Future
September 27, 2001. Just under the shadow
of the 9-11 attacks, two brand new souls are brought
into this world, Pat's identical twin girls, Trinity
and Giana. Even at a young age, the girls show a remarkable
love of music and dance! Chances are, they are the
long-term future of A Music Plus. With local DJ and
entertainment companies being born and dying seemingly
every other week, clients find it comforting to know
that A Music Plus, the industry leader since 1985,
is looking to 2020 and beyond.
