A bride and groom and 20 of their wedding guests completed Edinburgh’s Great Run just two hours before the couple got married.
Anna Henly convinced friends and family to run the 10km route for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of her brother-in-law who died last year.
She later married Robin McBride in a ceremony at Edinburgh Castle.
The happy couple were among more than 10,000 runners taking part in the annual event.
For the first time, organisers had permission for the race to pass through the forecourt of Holyrood Palace.
After crossing the line in Robin’s arms, Anna said: “I’ve loved it so much that I think we should get married every year.
“They say your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life and I really have loved it today.
“My friends all thought I was mad when I suggested it but we’re delighted so many of them came along on the race with us.”
