It’s no lie that weddings can cost a lot of money, but have you ever wondered what the average cost of a wedding is? Well, here are the 2009 Wedding Budget Survey Results from The Knot:
In 2009, the average wedding budget in the US (not including the honeymoon) was $28, 385. This showed a 5% decrease from 2008.

And here is a pretty cool fact related to the cost of a wedding:
1. TOP PRIORITIES: Venue, Band/ DJ and Photography: The bulk of the average wedding budget is still dominated by the reception venue ($12,838); followed by the reception band and or DJ ($3,288 and $892 on average); and photography ($2,444 on average).
